Is Tecademics a Scam?

There is no denying that the future of marketing is internet marketing.

Despite this, there is a scant amount of “technical” knowledge available to people. Tecademics has emerged as an institution that plans on changing all of that. While this school is relatively well-known, it is difficult to truly be certain whether this operation is legitimate or not. So, if you want answers, then you have come to the right place…

What Is Tecademics All About?

While Tecademics might be focused on the future of internet marketing, all of its operations are offline. That’s right, this institution can more or less be considered an educational college of sorts. It even has its own campus in Arizona, with more being unveiled in the coming years.

So, when it comes down to it, what does Tecademics offer you? Well, according to the company, it provides you with the opportunity to learn about the “16 Individual Success Paths”. These programs include:

  • Agency Start Up
  • Digital Asset Brokering
  • Digital Marketing for Entrepreneurs
  • Drone Pilot
  • Ecom Foundations
  • Ecom Management
  • Ecom Mastery
  • Email Marketing
  • Facebook Ad Specialist
  • Lead Generation Strategist
  • Online Video Marketing Specialist
  • Pay-Per-Click
  • Print on Demand
  • SEO Strategist
  • Social Media Ad Specialist
  • Social Media Manager

Within each of these programs, you get to select between Foundation courses, Core courses, Tactical courses, and Sprint courses. If you would like to learn a little bit more about your chosen field, then there are Optional courses available as well.

What Are the Changes Tecademics Has Gone Through?

One of the reasons that people began to doubt whether Tecademics was legit or not was due to the fact that it has undergone so many changes over the last few years. This includes the ownership, the structure, and the operation as a whole.

Perhaps the top concern for many was the risk of a Chris Record scam.

Chris Record was the person who started and launched Tecademics and departed from the business a few years ago. The official story was that he had creative disagreements with the board which caused him to leave the project. Jim Piccolo has taken over as CEO since then.

Furthermore, in the beginning, Tecademics was touting four, main products each with a different price tag attached to them.

These were The Entrepreneur Club (TEC), Impact, Masters, and Elite. This was abandoned in favor of the 16 paths.

There was also the fact that Tecademics used to offer online courses in addition to the ones that were taught on premises. This practice has been abandoned, however, and now there are just physical classes to attend in Arizona.

Perhaps the most positive change to date has been the removal of the Multi-Level Marketing scheme that was previously in place. Here, students and others were encouraged to get others to join the program and provided them with rewards to do so. These days, however, it is simply an academic institution.

Is It a Scam?

Back when the MLM structure was in place, there were fears that Tecademics wasn’t wholly legitimate and was something similar to a Ponzi scheme. Since they have ditched that idea, though, the school has regained some of its legitimacy back. Now that the institution has its very own physical property – and is looking to expand as well – there is a lot more trust associated with Tecademics.

One of the main reasons that it is difficult to say, with certainty that Tecademics is not a scam is due to the fact that there is so little information available. Not to mention, it isn’t affiliated with any well-known companies or agencies. So, while all signs prove to Tecademics not being a fraudulent operation, you do have to take a bit of a chance.

Concerns Regarding Tecademics

As mentioned, Tecademics has restructured its organization quite a bit. This means that what you see today is quite different from what the institution was when it first started out. Now, in some instances, this is a positive thing as the school has become more reliable since it has solely begun to focus on academics.

Still, there are a few points that need to be tended to. For instance, the information on the Tecademics website is quite sparse. There are only brief descriptions for each of the courses and even then, there is no breakdown of the fee structure. In short, you have no idea how much you may have to pay for your education with Tecademics.

As for the professors, Tecademics describe them as being “instructors who are true practitioners”. There is no mention of accreditations, licenses, or any other credentials. Thus, it can be difficult to know who it is that you are being taught by. In turn, this can cast doubt onto the quality of the education that you will be receiving.

There is also the fact that there is just one outlet in Arizona. So, unless you are a resident of the state or don’t mind making the move, Tecademics isn’t really an option for you. In this way, it can be a non-option for many interested parties.

Is Tecademics Suitable for You?

The final question, of course, is Tecademics suitable for you. Well, there isn’t a clear-cut answer to this. On the one hand, it does appear that the institution provides students with an education in internet marketing. Still, there is no real way to know whether this training is of a high quality or not.

Furthermore, the location of the school also does complicate things a bit. As there are no online classes or courses, interested individuals will have to physically go to the school in order to receive an education. This is both an advantage as well as a disadvantage.

For the most part, Tecademics does appear to be a reliable operation and an institution that is based on learning.

However, to get a true understanding of what it is actually like, more information is required. This is especially important considering the large number of changes that the school has experienced over the last few years alone. Once the institution is a lot more open regarding its curriculum, operations, and faculty, it will be easier to make a more accurate judgment of it.
